Robert D. O'Dell, Sr.

  THE GRAVESIDE SERVICE FOR ROBERT O'DELL HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2025.  A SERVICE WILL BE PLANNED IN THE SPRING.  THE WEBSITE WILL BE UPDATED.

   Robert D. O’Dell, Sr.,  82, of Chillicothe passed 12:41 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Adena Regional Medical Center.

     He was born December 2, 1942 in Chillicothe to the late Durward and Mildred Streitenberger O’Dell.  On September 3, 1965 he married Valla T. “Billie” Royer who preceded him September 17, 2018.

     Surviving are children, Heather O’Dell, of Dayton, Robert D. O’Dell, Jr., of Chillicothe and William Michael (Sarah) O’Dell, of Centerville; grandson, Glenn I. O’Dell.

     Robert retired from Mead Corporation and was a member of Chillicothe Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  He was a volunteer in the church’s food pantry.

     In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Seventh-Day Adventist Community Church Food Pantry, 510 Metzger Rd., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.

     A Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2025 with Pastor Ron Anderson officiating in Little Mound Cemetery.
