Robert E. “Bob” Peters, 68, of Chillicothe, passed away 8:32 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in the Ohio State University’s James Cancer Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 12, 1952, in Ross County, Ohio, to the late John W. and Grace Tillis Peters. On September 25, 1998, he married the former Deborah Mavis who survives.
In addition to his wife, Debbie, surviving are a daughter, Laura (David) Finney, of Lansing, MI; a son, Eric Peters, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Austin Carver, Devan Finney, Caitlin Finney and Braeden Finney; brothers, John (Shella) Peters, of Frankfort, William “Mac” (Pam) Peters, of Chillicothe, George “Scott” Peters, of Richmond Dale and Charles “Boo” Peters, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Lorna Overly and his twin, Melissa “Sis” Peters.
Bob served stateside in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War Era. He retired from the Chillicothe VA Medical Center as a Certified Dental Lab Technician. He also owned and operated a private dental lab, Adena Dental Technologies Inc. Bob was a member of VFW Post 108.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with his cousin, Pastor Edwin Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
