Robert E Sheets, Jr.

     Robert E. Sheets, Jr., 76, of Chillicothe, passed 9:30 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly while surrounded by his loving family.

     He was born January 24, 1948, in Ross County, to the late Robert E. Sr. and Norma Jean Hill Sheets.  On May 16, 1975, he married Carolyn A. Hopkins who survives. 

     Also surviving are children, Jackie (Bob) Lacy, of Chillicothe, Amy Matias, of Ft. Barre, LA, Robert E. (Jan) Sheets, III, of Ratliff City, OK, Wendy Sheets and Tina (Gary) Gates, of Krotz Springs, LA; many grandchildren including, Jason (Holly) McComis, Joshua Wood, James (Rachel) Barlage, Jr. and Jacob (Jessica) Carroll; numerous great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter, Avery Parrott; brothers, Samuel (Melinda) Sheets, of Chillicothe and Joseph (Sonya) Sheets, of Chillicothe; a sister, Janet (the late Bob) Childers, of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, his dog, Cody.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Sheets and a daughter, Cheryl Carroll.

     Bob had worked at the former WearEver Plant in Chillicothe and retired in 2007 from Microdyne where he had worked in Quality Assurance.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially enjoyed sharing that love with his family.

     Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mark Pfeifer officiating.  Burial will follow in Huntington Township Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.  Following the burial on Saturday, the family will be gathering at Harvest Center Church of God Fellowship Hall at 678 Kinnamon Lane, Chillicothe.
