Robert L. "Bob" Nokes Obituary

Robert L. “Bob” Nokes, 77, of Chillicothe, died 5:13 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2021 at his residence.

He was born February 5, 1944, in Lickskillet, Ohio, to the late Thomas Nelson and Elsie Pauline Williams Nokes. On August 24, 2017, he married the former Betty Kennedy who survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Dawn (Brian) Chamberlain and Pamela (Billy Pritt) Petty; grandchildren, Iri, Kenton and Rachael; a brother Warren (Sue) Nokes; and nieces, Christina, Patty and Marcia.

Bob served in the United State Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a Disabled American Veteran.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in Schooley’s Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
