Robert M. "Bob" Eblin Obituary

     Robert M. “Bob” Eblin, 85, of Chillicothe, passed at 6:57 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center following an extended illness.

         He was born May 31, 1938 to the late Martin and Grace Malone Eblin.  On September 7, 1995, he married the former Diane Cottrill who survives.

     Also surviving are daughters Cathy Ginter and Penny Eblin, both of Chillicothe; step children, Shawna (Brian) Detillion, Brian (Mandy) Smith, of Chillicothe, and Shannon (Kate Camper) Smith, of Westfield, IN; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Yvonne “Bonnie” Newcomb, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Grace Laverne Eblin; a son, Robert M. “Buddy” Eblin, Jr.; and seven brothers and sisters.

     Bob served in the United States Army.  He had attended Mt. Tabor Community Christian Church.  Bob was a member of the American Legion Post 62 and AMVETS Post 4 and had also been a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1626.  Bob worked as an Arborist for many years and loved to play the guitar. 

     Private funeral services will be held for family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help the family.
