Roberta A. (Peters) Settles

     Roberta A. (Peters) Settles, 87, of Chillicothe, passed on Thursday, June 12, 2025, peacefully, at home, where she resided with her daughter, Karen. She was born on March 14, 19,38, in Chillicothe to the late Troy and Wilma Peters of Chillicothe. She married her late husband, Sam Settles, on November 19, 1962, who passed on October 25, 2001.

     Roberta will also be met at Heaven’s Gates by her daughter Gloria Faye Pine, who passed at the age of 51, on August 2, 2022. She will also meet up with two brothers, Charles Peters and Floyd Peters, and her sister Velma Mozzetti.

     Surviving are her children, Karen Harlow, of Chillicothe, Tim (Nancy) Settles, of Conneaut, OH and a son-in-law, Alan Pine, of Chillicothe; five grandchildren, Rev. Sawyer (Kayla) Harlow, of Logan, OH; Savanna Harlow, Chillicothe; Silas (Samantha Sylvester) Harlow, Chillicothe; Christopher (Jessica) Clark, Magnolia, DE; David (Brandy) Clark, Conneaut, OH; thirteen great grandchildren, Breslin, Austin, Emerson, Leighton, Calvin, Nyjah, Joseph, Connor, Kaleb, Jackson, Wyatt, Grant, Mason, and a fourteenth due in September; and a great-great granddaughter, Oakley.

     Roberta was a true country girl at heart, and aside from spending time with her family, her greatest pleasures were working in her flower beds and caring for her “critters”, as she called them. Whether it was a pot-bellied pig, cats, dogs, chickens, horses, raccoons, squirrels, and many more, she raised them all at some point in her life. Roberta was a Christian who attended the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union.

    Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Londonderry Cemetery on U.S. Route 50 in Londonderry, Ohio with her grandson, Rev. Sawyer Harlow officiating.
