Rodney Lee Dixon

     Rodney Lee Dixon, 76, of Chillicothe, passed at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024 in the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly.

     He was born September 26, 1948, in Ross County, Ohio, to the late Floyd and Mary Ann Soummers Dixon.  On November 9, 1974, he married the former Rosemary Lawhorn who passed January 17, 2013. 

     Surviving are a sisters, Debbie (James) Hunt, of Virginia Beach, VA, Kathy (Doyne) Hunter, of Chillicothe and Laura Cottrill, of Chillicothe; brothers, Thomas Cottrill and Brian Cottrill, both of Chillicothe; step children, Tammy Eidenour and Steven Eidenour; several step grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by 3 brothers.

     Rodney retired from IBI where he had worked as a painter for many years. 

     Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
