Rosella Mae Brown

     Rosella Mae Brown, 82, of Chillicothe passed, surrounded by her loving family, at 6:17 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

    She was born January 9, 1944, in Chillicothe, to the late Sherman Kelson and Florence Sophia Davis Moats.  On April 20, 1962, she married Kenneth Ray Brown I who passed October 10, 2013. 

     Surviving are children, Pamela (Eddie) Burdick, of St. Paul, MN, Melissa Moran, of Chillicothe, Melinda (Ronald) Vernon, of Woodsfield, OH, Paula (Jeff) Spires, of Piketon, Kenneth R. Brown II, of Chillicothe and Kelly (Kevin) Imler, of Chillicothe;  grandchildren, Michael (Angela) Brown, Scott (Alexandra Snaith) Spires, Bryon (Heather) Cox, Danielle (Matt) Cureton, Brianna Vernon, Veronica (Kegan) Williams, Blain Brown, Kennetha Brown, Alisha (Jack Bartram) Imler, Gregory Imler, Jason Imler, Kasey Imler, Lisa Murphy and Kevin Murphy II; great grandchildren, Travis Brown, Abigail Reed, Amara Williams, Emma Cureton, Mailey Cox, Hadley Cox, Stella LaPointe, Callahan Olson, Wyatt Marion and Mason Marion; and nieces, Rita Hammond and Kathie Umphries.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Marlene Allen. 

     Rosella retired from Chillicothe Metropolitan Housing.  She enjoyed being outdoors, was an avid gardener and loved watching birds at her feeders.  More than anything, Rosella enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

     A private celebration of her life will be held for family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
