Roy L. Cain

Roy L. Cain, 84, of Chillicothe, passed at 6:02 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025 at his residence following an extended illness.

     He was born July 1, 1941, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Roy E. and Ruth E. Hockenberry Cain.  On June 23, 1963, he married the former Linda Neighborgal who survives.

     Also surviving are a daughter, Melissa (Jeff) Harrington, of Kingston; a son, Scott Lee (Vanessa) Cain, of Greenfield; grandchildren, Joshua (Ashlee) Harrington, Travis (Andrea) Harrington and Ryan Payne; great grandchildren, Kennedy, Kinslee, Kerrigan, Emmett, and Everett Harrington; and a brother, Ed (Sherry) Cain, of Florida. 

     Roy retired from the Mead Corporation.  He was a co-founder of the Scioto Township Fire Department. 

     A private celebration of his life will be held for family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
