Ruth Holbrook Obituary

Ruth Ann Holbrook, 76, of Chillicothe, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born on October, 11, 1944 in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Elwood and Ellen (Holton) Burton. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds, playing Bingo with her sister, and shopping at thrift stores.

She is survived by her family: daughters, Virginia Stotridge and Mary Kight (Bob); son, James Stotridge; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister, Eunice Vickers (Bob); as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a son, Edward Stotridge and a sister, Emma Wilson.

The family will receive friends at Ware Funeral Home on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 11 to 1 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Ruth’s life will follow at 1:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Pastor Obadiah Harris. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ware Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
