Ruth Ann McTurner

     Ruth Ann McTurner, 79, of Chillicothe, passed 3:07 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at her residence.

     She was born March 29, 1943, in Chillicothe, to the late Lester Dale Lamb and Myrtle Garnetta Stewart Lamb.  On April 12, 1964, she married Bobby G. McTurner who passed July 23, 2015. 

     Surviving are children, Austin (Brenda) McTurner, of Lucasville, OH; Sally (Tod) Timmons, of Londonderry, OH; Bobbie (Andrew Ulmer) McTurner, of Cincinnati, OH; and Allen (Joy) McTurner, of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Michael Murta, of Minford, OH; Matthew (Linsey) Murta, Louisville, KY; Morgan McTurner, Lucasville, OH; Mason McTurner, of Lucasville, OH; Izabella Timmons, of Norman, OK; Harper Ulmer, of Cincinnati, OH; and Danica Ulmer, of Cincinnati, OH; great granddaughter, Eleanor Murta; sister, Nancy Jones, of Chillicothe, OH; a brother, Lester Lamb, of Lancaster, OH; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers. 

     Ruth retired from Kroger where she had worked for over 25 years.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Women’s VFW Auxiliary.  Ruth was an avid bowler, loved to play bingo and enjoyed cooking and baking.

     Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Bob Jividen officiating.  Burial will follow in Boblett Cemetery.  Friends and family may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
