Sandra Sue "Sandy" Allen

     Sandra Sue “Sandy” Allen, 85, of Chillicothe, passed on February 2nd 2026 at Grant.  She was born January 7th, 1941 to the late Merle L. Davis and Mary E. Davis.  On May 4th, 1958, she was united in marriage to James W. Allen. 

     Surviving are a son, Warren Lee Allen; daughters, Cynthia Sue Garrett and Vicki Jo Haney, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Shaun (Casey) Allen, Amanda Thomas, Jami (Jacob) Peecher and James (Alaina) Garrett; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Leonard Davis and Bruce (Cathy) Davis; a sister, Donna Wilson, all of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by the father of her children, James W. Allen, her parents, a daughter-in-law, Deborah Allen and a son-in-law, Ike Haney.  Sandra also leaves behind her fur babies, Sophia, Polly, Momma and Izzy who will miss her terribly. 

     Sandra worked at GE Circleville Lamp Plant for 28 years until retirement, then worked at Kroger.  She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1626 and F.O.E. Aerie 600.

     Sandra’s family and her doggies were her life, she enjoyed dining out, family get togethers and shopping until it became too difficult, then she discovered online shopping.  Her children will always remember her sheer strength and determination.  If she got knocked down, she got right back up.  We will remember her famous quote, “when we’re out, you’ll be glad we still have some”.

     A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ross County Humane Society 2308-A Lick Run Road Chillicothe, OH 45601.
