It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Scott Tyler Stafford age 53. He was born 4/23/1972 in Canton, OH, to Gary and E. Marie (Wilson) Stafford. He grew up in Chillicothe, OH, with Gary and his stepmom, Pam. He attended Tabernacle Baptist Church where he was baptized, Allen Elem. and Smith Middle School. He studied masonry in high school in Richmond, VA, which became his life long career. He was a very talented master brick and stone mason and would work in flipflops and shorts. Scott was tender hearted, generous, and a good friend to many. He loved the outdoors from a young age. He built tree houses, go carts, climbed trees, and played in the woods. He was the cutest daredevil, roughneck kid. He loved his boys, dogs, cats, golfing, fishing, cooking, gardening, boating, skiing, snowboarding, guns and country music.
He is survived by his special love, Sandy Lytle and her son Hale; sons Tyler and Brennen (Kayla) grandsons Walker and Dalton, sister Cynthia Stafford, nieces Vivian and Valentina, second mom Pam Ray (Dana). He also leaves behind his aunt and uncle Sue and Tom Goshorn, cousins Tiffany (Brandon) Newman, Jerry (Michele) Goshorn, and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Gary Stafford, mother E. Marie Stafford, Cousin Jef Goshorn, and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. He will be laid to rest by his father in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday.
