Seth A. "Sam" Murphy Obituary

     Seth A. “Sam” Murphy, 39, of Waverly, passed at 12:54 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Adena Pike Medical Center unexpectedly.

     He was born January 30, 1983, in Gallipolis, to Harold and Beverly Butterbaugh Murphy.  On August 13, 2014, he married the former Jennifer E. Edwards who survives.

     Also surviving are a son, Lucas Murphy; daughters, Serenity and Cynthia Murphy, all of Waverly; a step daughter, Destiny Taylor, of Chillicothe; father and step mother, Harold and Tina Murphy, of McArthur; brothers, Joseph F. Murphy and fiancée Brandy, of Mansfield, Joseph H. Murphy, of McArthur and Brent Murphy and fiancée, Angel, of McArthur; sisters, Angel Woods, of Chillicothe and Erin (Les Mitchell) Douglas, of McArthur; several nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by his mother, Beverly Murphy and sons, Dakota and Jonathan Murphy. 

     Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Michael Mollet officiating.  Burial will follow in Charleston Church of the Brethren.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the WARE FUNERAL HOME to help with funeral expenses.
