Sharon Fultz Obituary

Sharon K. Fultz, 81, of Chillicothe, died 12:02 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born February 23, 1941, in Peebles, Ohio, to the late Charles A. and Helen M. Thompson Kauffman.  On January 1, 1958, she married Ron Fultz, who survives.

Also surviving are children, Rhonda (Mike) McGuire, Kevin (Terri) Fultz, Tony (Sheri) Fultz and Regina (Billy Scarberry) Williamson, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Kevin “Keon” (Kenzie) Fultz, Leslie (Jason) Fultz-Keiser, Kevin “Chopper” (Vivian) Williamson, Jenifer “Buff” Williamson, Drew (Marissa) Fultz, Matt McGuire, Marcus (Kendra) McGuire, Kelli Jo (Otto) Jarvis, Megan (Chris) Cottrill, and Faye “Lynnie” Cottrill; 25 great- grandchildren; a great-great grandson; a sister, Patricia Kauffman Barber, of Chillicothe; many nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James Fultz, Duane (Lorna) Ison, and Chris (Rick) Davis, and Jody Graves all of Chillicothe.  She was predeceased by a sister, Faye Beeler; brothers, Steven and Paul Kauffman and Warren “Lee” Leeson; sisters-in-law, Jean Chaney, Judy Workman, Mary “Tick” McCorkle and Glenna Elliott.

Sharon was a member of Liberty Hill Christian Union Church where she served as Bible School Director and Second Elder for many years.  She was a woman of many passions and interests; a lover of hummingbirds and cardinals, a quilting and sewing enthusiast who could happily spend hours in any Jo-Ann Fabric, and the uncontested champion of counting windmills.  She loved the Smoky Mountains and visiting Amish Country, and she and Ron spent many years traveling there.  Her greatest love and passion was her family, who flourished under her care.  She was unfailingly selfless, and would do  anything for those she loved.  She will forever be “Granny” to so many.
