Sharon L. Meyers

     Sharon L. Meyers (Miller) passed away at Adena Hospice after a brief illness.  Sharon was born on January 12th, 1940 to the late Russell and Lois Lunsford Miller.   

     Surviving are sons Jeff and Ron Meyers (Kelly);  grandchildren, Keith Meyers (Crystal), Rachel Nelson, Harrison Meyers, Benton Meyers, Hunter Bivens, and several great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Miller and Chuck Miller; sisters,  Vicki (Russ) Cotter, Elaine Palmer and Carole (Gary) Thornton and many nieces, nephews and friends.   She was predeceased by her daughter, Terry Meyers, sisters,  Janice Manring and  Linda Miller; brother,  Steve Miller as well as Great Aunt Katie Miller, former husband Donald Meyers and her special cat Max.  

     She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and retired as a switchboard operator at the VA Medical Center.  

     Sharon loved to knit, crochet, read and watch her movies.  She was an avid Boston Celtics fan and loved the Cincinnati Reds and the Big Red Machine. 

     As a wonderful mother, grandmother, sibling and friend she will be greatly missed. 

Sharon was an advocate for cats and supported many entities that provide services to strays for adoption, spaying and neutering.

      In lieu of flowers, Sharon would love if donations would be made to local cat shelter catsandcompany.org. 

There will be no calling hours or funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.  The family will have a cookout this summer to celebrate her life and laugh and tell stories. 

     Special thanks to Adena Hospice and the wonderful staff at Chillicothe Post Acute for their care given to Sharon.
