Sharon L. Proehl

Sharon L. Proehl (Irvin), 71, of Chillicothe, passed at 4:34 a.m. Sunday, October 19, 2025 at home following an extended illness.

   She was born February 6, 1954 in Chillicothe to the late Everett T. and Marilyn L. Hertenstein Irvin.  On June 10, 1972 she married the late Michael E. Proehl.

   Surviving are a son, Dustin (Holly E.) Proehl, of Chillicothe; a daughter, Stacey (Stephen) Hart, of Piketon; grandchildren, Alexis Hart, Brooklynn Hart, Hope Proehl and Faith Proehl; two brothers, several nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, her dog, Molly.  She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Grace Proehl.

   Sharon worked for Big Bear Grocery Store for 23 years.

   A private funeral service was held for family in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Scott Judge officiating.  Burial followed the service in Greenlawn Cemetery, Chillicothe.
