Shirley E. Hoselton

     Shirley E. “Cookie” Hoselton, 75, of Chillicothe passed 8:27 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Ohio Health Hospice House.

     She was born May 8, 1951 in Ross County to the late Omer W. and Lillian L. Lewis Burton. 

     Surviving are children, Danielle Hoselton and Robert Alan (Jamie Leigh) Hoselton, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Ashley Ann Taylor, Dawson James (Hailey) Hoselton, Jordan Daniel  (Aubrie) Hoselton and Annaleigh Grace Hoselton; sister, Diana Lynn Burton, of Chillicothe; brothers, Clyde Eugene Burton ,of Chillicothe; sisters-in-law, Linda Burton and Carlene Burton; brother-in-law, Michael Meeker; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters, Geneva Gray, Dixie Terry, Ruth George, Juanita Kay McGuire, Lexie Olson, Betty Jane Meeker; brothers, Curtis, Eddie Michael and Billy Charles Burton; sister-in-law, Betty Burton and Virginia Burton and brother-in-law, Clyde George.

     Shirley was a former employee of the former U.S. Shoe Corporation and the former A & A Cleaning at DuPont.

     In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to a hospice facility of your choice.

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mark Gray officiating.  Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
