Shirley A. Horsley, 85, of Chillicothe, went home to be with her Lord, at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at her home.
She was born February 21, 1938, in Ross County, to the late Oscar Cozad and Olga Catherine Blair. On April 28, 1956, she married Charles E. Horsley, who passed November 22, 2022.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sandra (Jeffrey) Leeth, of Chillicothe; a son, Chuck Horsley, of Newark; grandchildren, Lincoln (Becky) Horsley, of Newark, Lance (Heather) Horsley, of Newark, Logan (Travis Koehler) Horsley, of Sherman Oaks, CA, Trevor (Kelsea) Leeth, of Chillicothe and Tori (Oscar) Leeth-Mateo, of Colorado Springs, CO; great grandchildren, Amore, Talan, Chloe, Sebastian, Titus, Laykin and Jax; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mom, Olga Catherine Black; dad, Oscar Cozad; an infant son, Scott Horsley; sisters, Ramona Hardesty and Charlotte Kellough; and a brother, Bobby Cozad.
Shirley was a member of the Adena Road Church of Christ. She retired from the former Piping Specialty in Circleville. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved to spend time vacationing with and cooking for her family. Shirley will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 in the Adena Road Church of Christ 900 Orange Street Chillicothe, Ohio with Minister Homer Maple officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, Ohio. Friends may call at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
