Shirley J. Ralston

     Shirley J. Ralston, 90, of Washington Court House, passed at 6:10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026 in Carriage Court, Washington Court House following a brief illness.

     She was born February 21, 1936, in Ross County, to the late Harold and Pauline Blakeman Shoemaker.  On July 11, 1981, she married Kenneth “Dutch” Ralston who passed December 6, 2006. 

     Surviving are sisters, Connie (Harry) Goldsberry, of Chillicothe and Linda (Larry) Strouse, of Castleberry, FL and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Betty Shoemaker and nephews, Jeff and Scott Shoemaker. 

     Shirley retired from the Chillicothe VA Medical Center. 

     Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, May 19, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 10 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
