Sylvia A (Schoppert) Brown

On Saturday, December 25, 2021, Sylvia Anne Brown, 87, formerly of Chillicothe, OH went home to be with her Lord and Savior.  She resided at Oak Grove Manor in Mansfield, OH. Born on August 11, 1934 in Chillicothe, OH, she was the only child of the late Harry Vermont and Lola Elizabeth Shoppert.  Sylvia was married to the late Donald Brown for 49 years and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2001. Sylvia was a member of Chillicothe Baptist Church.  She was a Godly woman who loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Christine Elwert and husband, Jeff, of Fort Mitchell, KY; son, David Brown and wife, Kelly, of Crestline, OH; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas Elwert and wife, Bri, Elise Brown, Nathan Brown, Joshua Brown; step-grandson, Mykah Estes and great-grandson, Dawson Elwert.

Per the family’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.  The family will hold a private graveside service with Pastor Joe Messer officiating.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Oak Grove Manor for their special care with our mom and grandmother the past 5 years and most recently to SouthernCare Hospice.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sylvia’s name may be made to the Chillicothe Baptist Church, 14000 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
