Timothy D. Ballenger, age 69 of Waverly, passed away Saturday, May 24th, 2025, due to complications of heart disease.
He leaves behind his wife, Teresa Ballenger, sister Dianne (Dick) Coppock, brother Mark (Audrey) Ballenger, beloved daughter, Amanda Ballenger; son, Timothy (Jami) Ballenger II; step children Amanda (Chris) Montieth, Betty (Rob) Ratliff, Kyle Painter, and Kasandra Painter; as well as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mary Ballenger and his favorite pup, Jack.
Tim was a retired truck driver and coal miner who enjoyed tinkering in his garage and spending time with his loved ones, especially his dog, Biscuit. To say that Tim had a big personality would be an understatement. His laugh was contagious, and he was always larger and louder than life. He had a certain way of teasing those he loved that was somehow irritating and endearing at the same time. Love him or hate him, Tim always left a long-lasting impression.
A graveside service for the United States Army Veteran, will be held 1 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2025 in Mound Cemetery, Piketon with Pastor John Ballenger officiating. Military graveside rights will be conducted by the American Legion Post 142 Honor Guard Waverly Ohio. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
