Thomas E Oyer

   Thomas Edward Oyer, 78, of Chillicothe, died 2:59 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2021 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a short illness. He was born December 28, 1942 in Chillicothe, to the late Charles and Goldie (Matheny) Oyer, Jr.

   Surviving are his sons, Chris Oyer, Mike (Rebecca) Oyer and Russell Oyer, all of Chillicothe; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Joe (Erma) Oyer, of Chillicothe; sister, Barbara Oyer, of Columbus; former wife and mother of his sons, Linda Oyer and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Oyer.

   Thomas was retired from the Mead Corporation. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War, He was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 108, F.O.E Aries 600 and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1626.

   Private funeral service for family and close friends will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Dean Hughes officiating. Private calling hours will be held for Monday evening for family and close friends. A public graveside service will be held approximately 3:00 p.m. in Floral Hills Memory Garden with military graveside rites conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.
