Violet Elizabeth Miller

Violet Elizabeth Miller, 90, of Chillicothe, passed at 10:03 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2025 in Chillicothe Post Acute following an extended illness.

     She was born May 16, 1935, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late Owen and Goldie Ethel Romans Miller.  On October 25, 1955, she married Willard Miller who passed October 7, 2014.

     Surviving are a daughter, Mary E. (Lyndon Lee) Baxter, of Chillicothe whom always referred to her as “My Beautiful Little Hillbilly Momma”; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Miller, of Vanceburg, KY; grandchildren, Kimberly Bevins, Brian Miller and Jacob (Hayley) Baxter; great grandchildren, Kallie and Addie Baxter; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by sons, Willard Keith Miller, Stephan Ellis Miller and Dana Glen Miller and brothers, William Henry Miller, John Everett Miller, Steve Earl Miller, Franklin D. Miller and Edgle Riley Miller; and sisters, Minnie E. Miller, Myrtle Isabelle Miller Moore, Hattie Mae Miller Grace and Emma M. Elliott. 

     Violet was a member of Richmond Dale Church of God.  She enjoyed watching horses, hummingbirds and butterflies.  More than anything, Violet loved spending time with her family and going to church.  She will be remembered for her contagious smile and her compassion for others. 

     The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staffs of NCR Hospice and also Chillicothe Post Acute for the loving care given to Violet and compassion shown to our family during this time. 

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2025 at the Richmond Dale Church of God with Pastor John Evans II officiating.  Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church in Richmond Dale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Monday.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
