Wilbur Jones Obituary

Wilbur C. Jones, 76, of Chillicothe, passed away 7:15 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Adena Regional Medical Center.

He was born October 10, 1945, in Steubenville, to the late Lonnie and Alice (Sims) Jones. On January 16, 1965, he married the former Judy Cosgrove, who survives.

Surviving are children James C. Jones, Kevin W. (Paula) Jones, Melissa J. (Bryan) Kight and Scott A. (Christi) Jones; sister-in-law, Jeanette Jones; brother-in-law, John Cantrell; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; including a special niece, Nora Hostutler. He was predeceased by brother, Lonnie Jones and sisters, Bonnie Hostutler and Pauline Cantrell.

Wilbur was retired from Dresser Industries where he was a truck driver. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Bryan Kight officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.
