William E. Murch, 74, of Chillicothe, went home to be with his Lord and Savior 7:15 a.m. Sunday, September 5, 2021.

He was born June 17, 1947 in Richmond Dale to the late Julius and Merle "Peggy" Maplethorpe Murch. On December 8, 1972 he married the former Kathleen Diffendal, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, John Murch and fiancé Tina Parsley; 2 grandsons, Jonathan and Jacob Murch, all of Chillicothe; Tina's sons, Michael and Brandon Parsley; a brother, Kenny Murch, of CA; a sister, Sandra (Murch) Bobblett, of KS. He was predeceased by a sister, Carol Diane (Murch) Fountain.

William was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the First Wesleyan Church in Chillicothe. He retired from Kenworth Truck Company in 2012.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Heartland Hospice for all their care and loving support.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 in the First Wesleyan Church with Pastor Jon Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 11 to 1 prior to the service on Friday.
