William D. Graves

     William D. “Bill” Graves, 76, of Richmond Dale, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly.

     He was born January 14, 1946, in Londonderry, Ohio, to the late Rev. Cloyd and Eloise (Holbrook) Graves.  On March 5, 1967, he married Rita (Willoughby) Graves who survives.

     Also surviving are a son, Mark Graves; a daughter, Karen Graves, both of Chillicothe; granddaughters, Hannah (Ryan) Connor and Gabriela (Jon) Egan, of Wisconsin; a grandson, Dalton Drake, of Chillicothe; a great grandson, Archer James Egan; brothers-in-law, Bryon (Desi) Willoughby, of Mooresville, NC and Larry Willoughby, of Grove City, OH; a sister-in-law, Dana Willoughby, of Chillicothe; and nephews and nieces, Larry (Lora) Graves, Sharon (Bret Collins) Detty, Marsha Bennett, Chrissy Willoughby, Kelsey (Jeff) Hartmann, Carson (Monica) Willoughby, Kyla (Blake Spencer) Willoughby, and Mason Willoughby.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Larry and Lowell, his in-laws, Harvey and Eva Willoughby; a brother-in-law, Paul Willoughby; and his former faithful companion, his dog, Sam. 

     Bill was a 1964 graduate of Southeastern High School.  He was a farmer from the age of 18 until retiring in December of 2018, farming with his father, brother, and nephew.  Bill attended the Richmond Dale United Methodist Church. 

     Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Karen Farr officiating.  Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
