Joseph M. Patterson

Joseph M. Patterson, 33, of Waverly, passed away, Sunday, June 24, 2018 as the result of an accident in the line of duty.

He was born November 18, 1984 in Ross County to Michael A. and Holly M. Zeisler Patterson. On May 16, 2015 he married the former Jennifer M. Young who survives.

In addition to his parents of Londonderry are children, Ashleigh Halfhill, Rebeccah Halfhill and Adam Liste, all at home; a sister, Julie M. Patterson and fiancé, Ryan Murphy, of Lancaster, OH; a niece, Alexis Murphy; several aunts, uncles and cousins; sister-in-law, Jessica Stewart; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Mary Young, of Mountain City, TN; Fire and EMS brothers and sisters as well as best friend and co-worker, Jason Gleich.

Joseph was a Firefighter and EMT for Paint Creek Fire Dept., Huntington Twp, Green Twp and various other Fire Depts.

Joe was a true public servant and died doing what he loved. His smile and personality will be truly missed by all who had the honor to know him.

Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at Southeastern High School, 2003 Lancaster Rd, Chillicothe, OH with Pastor John Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. at the High School on Thursday.
